You are enough just as you are

Post image for You are enough just as you are

in Self-compassion & (Anti)-Perfectionism

I want you to stop right now, today, and take in the wonder that is you.

Not the you from 5 or 10 years ago or the you that you plan to be “someday”, the you that stands here today.

She is wonderful.

She is strong.

She is worthy.

She is beautiful.

She works hard.

She is loved.

She has a great laugh.

She loves ice cream or chocolate or a hot cup of coffee.

She can carry such heavy loads – in her arms or in her heart.

She celebrates.

She listens – often to what isn’t even being said.

She makes tough choices.

She loves deeply.

She is powerful.

She is a good friend, wife, sister, mother, individual.

She has a story to tell.

She hugs freely.

She knows how to nurture others- and needs to nurture herself as well.

She is doing the best she can with what she has.

She feels deeply.

She has dreams.

She can be silly or serious.

She can fly. You just can’t see her wings.

She is brave.

She is wonderfully unique.

She is needed.

She is deserving.

She is right where she needs to be today.

She can take a break.

She can indulge.

She can dance and sing and giggle.

She sees rainbows and stars and shares them.

She holds on and she lets go.

She can handle it.

She has talents.

She asks questions, learns and grows.

She is making magical memories all the time.

She is awesome.

She is smart.

She is real.

She is free.

She can.

She does.

She has.

She is.

She is enough.

Silence your inner critic and tell her the truth – you are enough! Live your life today. Enjoy it. Embrace it. Honour it. Fulfil your needs, whatever they are.

Edited to add: a printable version was made on request so you can download the you are enough printable here.

Find your simple,

Deb

Hello,
I’m relatively new to this site and I just want to thank you for being here! I found you just when I needed to. And thank you for this post; I’ve spent the last 45 years feeling like I wasn’t enough and am working hard to reverse the thought process. I’ve posted your list on my bathroom mirror; a daily reminder I will look forward to starting tomorrow. Thank you!
