The best time to start on a new path

in Vision & Goals

It is March.

A new season has started.

Most people who write about goals and vision work have run their courses, promoted their ebooks, filled out printable worksheet after worksheet.

Don’t fall into the trap of starting things at the beginning of a new year, on a Monday, at a set point pre determined as right.

Start any day.

Start today.

It is never too late to create a vision board.

It is never too late to pick a word or words to guide your year, as they are there to guide your life!

It is never too late to set or change your goals. Life is fluid, always in motion and just like the sea you must just dive in.

What do you want to do?
What do you want to try?
How do you want to feel?
What are your values?
Where do you want to be in a month or six?

What do you want to start now?

Find your simple,

Deb xx

Yes to new starts. March is a perfect month to start fresh one or many times because it’s the start of spring! So excited about this, it always rejuvenates me. :]

You are speaking to me personally now aren’t you? I just need to start eating healthy, starting walking 30 minutes a day, JUST START. I can’t believe it’s March already!

I couldn’t agree more Deb! And I say this as a woman in my early 40′s about to start studying her passion.

I am so excited for you Leanne- the best people to help others are those who have been there before – you will bring real experience not just book knowledge – awesome!

I need to make this quote my mantra Deb! It’s too easy to put something off if you don’t start when you planned in the first place.
making me think, as usual xx

I love this, strange how people always start things on a Monday or the start of a new year! I am starting to be more organised for dinner tonight!

I think we tend to do that partly because it feels like a fresh start / new routine kind of day/year but also some part of us is usually avoiding the start – if we were really keen or it was 100% what we wanted to do wouldn’t we start right there and then?

Such a timely reminder after falling off the exercise/healthy eating wagon over the weekend. I’m jumping back on right now!

As someone who falls off that wagon regularly it is so important to just keep going (i used to tell myself i had already ruined things so go all out and enjoy the blowout… so hard to pick up and keep going without getting sucked in) Good luck hon xx

Too true! A motto of mine at the moment is “do what needs to be done”. And this means when it needs to be done. Just start. Just do it. Now. No laters. No after. No someday. I wish though, it was just as simple to make these words my reality.

LOve that motto – i often push myself to just get it done now when i know i am avoiding something that scares me

Yes! I find I stick to my goals a lot better when I start them when the inspiration and motivation is there! Any day or time. It’s also then important to to acknowledge that no doubt we’ll slip up but rather than give up we can just pick ourselves up, reassess and keep going. Don’t stop!

This new season I am going to start focusing on myself a little more. The beginning of the year has been wrapped up in starting daycare, starting school and medical appts for the rest of the family.

Some times are like that – we go through seasons where focus shifts to people or issues in our lives – i hope you make some great plans for yourself – every small step will be a big payoff. xx

I agree! Why wait for a set point in time? After months of putting it off, today is the day that we have started our business plan for our farming business!! So exciting!! It’s fun to put all our thoughts that we’ve been daydreaming about for years down on paper and actually setting goals…I can almost see ourselves in 10 years!! :)
