I am linking up with Tina Grey for Piquing my pinterest this week. I have gathered an assortment of arts and crafts from my board for my kids. I hope you find something fun to do with your own kids. Click on the links to go to the pin on my board for full details.

Rock painting

mess free finger painting

Bookbinding for kids

Straw weaving

Q-tip art

finger print animals

finger print people

God’s Eyes

Painted sticks

My kids have had loads of fun in the past with fingerprint pictures and making heaps of God’s Eyes.

What kinds of crafts do your kids like to do?

If you are hesitant to get out the arts and crafts supplies because you are not “crafty” you may want to read my post sharing my experience as a non-crafty mother to kids who would do arts and crafts all day every day.

Thanks – I love all fingerprint art – for a non artist like me it is fun to do with the kids and see what you can make out of them.

Things like that become a form of meditation for me – repetitive and simple… My 8yo is very keen as she usually collects rocks and shells to paint and get creative with.

I like some of those novel weaving crafts Deb. My little boy did thumb print bees at school this week. He loved it.

Great pins Deb. I seen some q-tip art the other day and thought it would be a great thing to do with the kids. Thanks for the reminder!

Oh, great pins! I used to think I would be a great crafty Mum, until I was blessed with an uber-crafter. She opens her eyes and the craft is on. It’s intense! I’ll go back and read that post of yours!

I woke up early today (before 6am) and was shocked to see the light on in the dining room – there was my 8yo wide awake at 10 to 6 and already crafting – could not wait any longer. when they are crafty they are crafty all the time right?

I love the rock painting – it looks like something that I could do while the kids do something else!
