Another week has flown by. No matter what I do to slow it down Friday comes faster than I expect.
This week I am grateful for many things – some small and some big – all make me smile and fill up with gratitude.
♥ Sunshine and warmth -after receiving 80% of our usual yearly rain in the first 6 months we have been blessed with a lovely dry spell here in Brisbane that is the longest one in 12 years – you know it is big when you read about it all over the internet! It might be nearly 40 days now, but as I write this they are predicting rain for tonight and tomorrow – but back to sunshine after that!
Spring is in the air and my mind is already turning to swimming with the kids after school (grateful for my gym’s outdoor pool and friends with pools – my kind of “friends with benefits”). I see many afternoons filled with snacks, sunshine and swimming!
♥ TV time with my husband – we have different tastes so we often make different TV selections in the week, but right now he is happily joining me for Puberty Blues (to my surprise) and we are working our way through True Blood on DVD (ripping through season 2 this week). Now when a show ends (oh those last 5 seconds of True Blood – every time!) and I am left with a text speak reaction (OMG, WTF, and even LOL) I see the same reaction on my husband’s face. Now we can laugh and say WTF together.
♥ The biggest and best news updates that come via my friend Lindsay as we have watched Evie get her MRI, then her first brain surgery and now send her strength as she goes in for her second operation today. Such a brave family, full of love and hope and spirit. I am grateful for all the updates and for Evie’s treatment. This journey has been stressful being imagination for Lindsay and Nathan – I can only imagine what it would have been like if they had not won the right to take their daughter to one of the best surgeons!
What are you grateful for this week?

We are True Blood lovers too! I came across it in Canada and could not believe that a programme like that was on TV. It scares me, shocks me and makes me laugh…..brilliant combo!

My husband and I are big TV show watchers. We have a list a mile long of the ones we watch together! We’ve just started The Newsroom, a new HBO show that just got picked up for a second season. Haven’t got into True Blood but have lots of friends who have. Maybe I should?
Glad to hear Evie is doing well. Can’t even begin to imagine what her parents are going through! We are off to a farm wedding up Sunny Coast way tomorrow so hoping this drought lasts a little bit longer! Have a great weekend! x
