Recently I bought myself a jewellery display stand and it makes me happy every day. Having all that colour out in the open cheers me up on grey days and prompts me to grab an accessory or two every day. I decided I wanted to look at some more options for getting jewellery organised and on display and thought the DIY route would be great for a round up. Most of these projects are easy enough even for a DIY novice like myself.
At young house love I found two beautiful options with a linen canvas used to display earrings and necklaces and a simple dish filled with beans to show off those cool rings!
The Queen of organising, Martha Stewart, has one of my favourite ways to organise jewellery and use and enjoy fun dishes you might collect.
At M1Media we find this upcycling of a milk bottle to display bracelets.
At Mini manor blog is one of the best examples of cutlery trays as jewellery storage I have seen doing the rounds.
Love the simplicity of materials here – using dowels and hooks
Better Homes and Gardens take the always available shadow box and adds some pins for a cool jewellery storage and display.
The Borrowed Abode uses an old window frame plus some core board – looks like it’s worth hunting down an old window…
Another very simple project using a towel rail and “S” hooks from This Bird Can Sing.
Do you have a favourite way to store or display jewellery? Will you attempt any of these simple projects?
Find your simple,
Deb

I have done a couple of DIY posts myself on this topic. Shirt and belt hangers on a hook in your wardrobe are a good idea too. The Martha one is gorgeous but so space inefficient!

Some of these are gorgeous. I love how jewellery looks when it’s out, but I have mine all hidden away in a safe. Rachel x

All my jewellery is shoved in a box in the wardrobe – it’s such a pain to get to. I really need to get it sorted out so it’s nice and accessible – some great ideas you’ve presented here!

Definitely get some of them out at the very least – you get the benefit of seeing and enjoying the way they look + wearing them more often!

I do need to display my jewellery in front of my face otherwise I just don’t wear it. After seeing Kirri’s beautiful earrings at the DP Con, I’ve been trying to buy more and be more classy like her. It’s not really working, but if I have them out on display perhaps I will see somethings that matches and try harder to accessorize! Nice visual inspiration for me. Thankyou.

I don’t have that many jewlery but at the moment some of my necklaces are hanging on the corner of my computer table. Mainly to get them away from my kids who will tangle them all together. and for easy reach if I want to use them.

Love your colours! I have a shelf in my built in wardrobe where I have hung loads of hooks for the necklaces on one side and I have a few baskets for bracelets etc. on the shelf.

There are some great ideas there. I am not really much of a jewelry gal, I have a few golden favs that I wear every day but that is about it.
So there are two projects here for me, the first to source some more bling to wear and then find a way to display it

This post is right up my alley. After organising my bags and scarves, my jewellery is next in line. I’m planning on doing something similar like the photo with the dowel and hooks

It’s all pure genius! Certainly puts my shoebox system to shame! I wonder if I’ll ever upgrade… add it to the to do list
This is something I badly need to do – I have everything in boxes and have been wearing the same necklace for 6 months (not 24 hours, i take it off at night). Loads of fab ideas there – thanks!!

Glad this has given some of you the inspiration to get your jewellery out to enjoy both visually and to wear it more. i try to grab at least a couple of bracelets and/or necklace every day and it is a mood lifter 100%.

Love all the ideas. Bright, colourful and cheery much like one feels when wearing the jewellery. I have only recently started to get ‘into’ jewellery and am looking to expand my collection and store it much more handily so as to wear more often. What is now in a small jewellery box will soon be housed otherwise, just waiting on a vital part of the project to arrive. Can’t wait!!
