Note – this post includes the information from the page I set up for the 52 week challenge to preserve it in full. I wanted to declutter the page to make room to add links to the weekly posts so anyone joining in at a later date can start at the beginning and follow at their own pace. Kick off is in the morning!
Do you find yourself dealing with the same issues over and over again year after year?
Do you struggle to get your home organised?
Do you find your life is complicated and not following the path you intended? Do you feel like someone else is directing the show?
Do you make “resolutions” each January only to forget what they were by Valentine’s Day?
What I am proposing is spending time first exploring and laying the foundations for figuring out what is important to you, your values, your goals and dreams for your life. We will explore what holds you back and what your stumbling blocks have been up to now.
Then we will use that information to start tackling the day to day issues of home, family and relationships, parenting, household management, money, your health, your goals. We will fight procrastination, build new habits, find our sources of motivation, get momentum in our lives, tap into our own special and unique powers to finally ”find your simple”.
I will share ideas, techniques, tips and challenge you to explore and make changes one week at a time – building on what we learn together as we go. This is not a 30 days to a new life, go gung ho and then revert to old ways- this is digging deep and finally making changes that last.
I am not an expert or guru, but I have been down this road and feel I have a plan / idea for tackling this once and for all – and I would like to change with all of you rather than on my own.
I will post every Monday on the blog with new information (some topics will run for weeks and others shorter) and a “take action challenge”. I will open up a linky each week for you to share your updates on the previous week’s challenge. If the week’s subject is something you already rock well, I hope you will write a post and share what works for you and add your wisdom and experience to the pool. I hope there will also be lots of discussion on the HLS Facebook page.
If you don’t already blog I hope you will even consider starting a free blog on a platform like “blogger” to use it as a journal and way to connect with others for support and feedback. Over the year you can find people who relate to you on your specific challenges who may be able to offer insights and ideas to help you.
Being visible and linking up will hopefully serve as an accountability measure. I will aim to read every linked post and encourage you to check in weekly even if only to share hiccups along the way. We are aiming for progress not perfection here.
If you don’t blog, but want to share your story I will be happy to post “guest reports” from those doing the challenge who want to share here.
There will be prizes/ giveaways along the way -I am looking into books, ebooks, posters/prints, jewellery, journals, organising tools (think planner pads and diaries) and maybe some things to run your house. I hope that at least once a month I will select a linked blog post to feature and give a prize to based on the post itself (not random). You have as many chances to win as posts you link up.
I am very interested in hearing about your current stresses and areas of difficulty – if you have 5 minutes to spare can you please fill in this surveybefore the new year!
Find your simple,
